which tell's what he's up to recently:
Anthony Head stars as Stephen, the office boss who wants everyone to focus on business so he doesn't have to, in the NBC comedy "Free Agents."
After his West End debut as Jesus in "Godspell," Head went on to star in many acclaimed stage productions with roles as diverse as Absalom in Peter Shaffer's "Yonadab," Freddie Trumper in "Chess" and Frank-N-Furter in "The Rocky Horror Show." His career went from strength to strength, with guest leading roles in many TV series throughout the late 1970s and '80s, including "Secret Army," "Enemy at the Door," "Love in a Cold Climate" and "Howard's Way."
Head then went in search of widening his audience in the U.S. His first forays into American television included a guest appearance on "NYPD Blue" and one season of the groundbreaking Fox series "VR.5."
A year later, he won the role of Rupert Giles in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," a critically acclaimed series that would achieve cult status and make him an international star.
Back in the UK, Head has continued to show his diversity as an actor, starring in programs such as "Manchild," "Persuasion," "Free Agents" and the wonderfully bizarre "Little Britain," while continuing to guest star in notable dramas including "Spooks," "Reversals" and "New Tricks." After a successful run at The Old Vic playing Flan in "Six Degrees of Separation," Head finished filming Series 4 of BBC1's highly successful "Merlin." Prior to this, he completed filming "The Iron Lady," alongside Meryl Streep and directed by Phyllida Lloyd, and he just concluded filming the much-anticipated "The Inbetweeners Movie," which is based on the award-winning British television series.
